Generational Volley<\/b> is an Erasmus+ project in which our club has been participating since this year and is only one of many projects that our club plans to implement. Volleyball Club Oriovac is a partner with the sports organizations Kargen\u00e7 \u00c7evre Spor Kul\u00fcb\u00fc (Sakarya, Turkey) and Sporting Clube Le\u00f5es das Enguardas (Braga, Portugal), with whom they are implementing a project that emerged as a result of findings obtained from numerous studies related to the quality of life of citizens of the European Union. Research by the European Union has shown that women in rural areas do not have the opportunity to participate in sports activities and are insufficiently active both physically and socially.<\/p>\n

Due to the mentioned research, that is, the obtained results, the Generational Volley project was launched with the task of raising the level of physical and social activity of adult women in rural areas of Turkey, Portugal and Croatia through volleyball. It is known that volleyball as a sport is highly developed at the recreational level because it is not a contact sport and the beginner level does not require complicated conditions. During nice days, it is enough to gather a few people outdoors, place some kind of barrier between two teams and start passing the ball over that barrier. Our project, however, has better conditions such as a sports hall and basic conditions for holding volleyball training, which greatly helps the quality of the project implementation and therefore a greater response from interested adult women from our area. <\/span><\/p>\n

The project is held in the sports hall of the Elementary School in Oriovac where you can come to a free training session and register for the tournament that will be held at the end of 2026.
<\/span><\/p>\n

Expect many new acquaintances, lots of socializing and fun and most importantly, plenty of movement and physical activity with an emphasis on safe learning of movements and volleyball skills which, we hope, you will use even after the project ends.
<\/span><\/p>\n

Project goals:
<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • encouraging adult women to engage in sport in the long term
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • education about the importance of physical activity
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • encouraging socializing through sport
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • involving the community in sports activities
    <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The project includes:

    • trainings adapted to adult beginners
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • sports meetings \/ tournaments
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • educational workshops
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • cooperation with other clubs from the region
